JD Virtual recently developed and deployed a customised smart home system for a private art studio, designed to enhance both convenience and control. This project featured the installation of LIFX smart lighting, TP-Link Kasa power controls, and tailored routines, all centrally managed through Amazon Alexa. The new system was seamlessly integrated into the client’s existing Ubiquiti network infrastructure, which we had previously deployed, along with their CCTV and Wi-Fi systems.
Key Deliverables
- LIFX Lighting Products: We installed smart lighting solutions, allowing for highly customisable and energy-efficient lighting control.
- TP-Link Kasa Power Control: Kasa smart plugs and switches were deployed to automate power usage throughout the studio.
- Custom Routines: Bespoke routines were created to optimise lighting and power settings for different studio activities, all controlled via Amazon Alexa for ease of use.
- Seamless Integration: The new smart devices were integrated with the existing CCTV and Wi-Fi systems through the Ubiquiti network we set up in an earlier project, ensuring everything worked smoothly together.
Benefits
- Enhanced Control: With Amazon Alexa, the client can control the entire system using voice commands, making it easy to operate hands-free while working in the studio.
- Energy Efficiency: The combination of smart lighting and power management helps reduce energy consumption, providing a more sustainable and cost-effective solution.
- Streamlined Operation: By integrating everything into a single platform, the client benefits from a unified and easy-to-manage system, built on the strong foundation of JD Virtual’s previous Ubiquiti network deployment.
Conclusion
This project successfully delivered a smart home system that enhances both the efficiency and convenience of the client’s art studio. At JD Virtual, we specialise in creating bespoke smart home and business solutions that integrate seamlessly into your existing infrastructure. If you're looking for a smart, streamlined setup, we’d be happy to help.
